The EPS All-Rounder is a product of the our much loved and very much battle scarred John Mccurry model and introduced to run alongside and compliment our traditional range of longboards.
This board model has been out with John in anything from 1ft to 8ft .....“Rick lovin that 91 ,thinkin the next board should be kept the same, best all rounder ive had to date, from 1ft to testin in 8ft its wicked man” ...his words not mine (sourced from text message).
For those of you wondering who John Mccurry is? 2007 and the 2008 Irish Longboard champ and more than likely Irelands most radical longboarder!
This board is still hand made in Portrush using traditional methods and the finest materials , but is constructed using EPS and Epoxy technology allowing the board to be lighter and more resistant to those annoying dings, which are usually picked up before you've even got near the surf.
The inner core is constructed of high density EPS which is recyclable at the end of its life!
The blanks or plugs are now made on site to our own spec, being first cut from huge blocks of foam which is blown to our own spec, this then has its wooden stringer cut to shape and installed into the blank, ready for profiling, again a process
undertaken on site and the board is finished by hand.
So basically when you are using one of these you can be sound in the knowledge that firstly there has been no waste during the construction as any off-cuts are returned for re-cycling ,
secondly the components are sourced as close to home as possible and thirdly the core can be re-cycled at the and of its life and the fourth factor is because its core is now made on site the price can be kept low!
